LXD (the linux container daemon thing) recently became stewarded by Canonical rather than the Linux Container group.
That was kind of questionable in and of itself, but now...
You may be familiar with Christian Brauner and Stéphane Graber.
These two have been doing essentially 80% of the maintainership work on LXD.
Neither are now maintainers, it's employee-only.
For context, Graber left canonical literally this month.
The move of LXD to an "in-house" project happened basically right after he announced his resignation.
This is absolutely insane, and I'm fully expecting the software quality of LXD to go down the drain.
Who knows, maybe they were just freeing up space for better in-house maintainers... but somehow I doubt that.
